Dr. Elliott is from Louisville, Kentucky where he graduated from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. His pediatric dental residency and Master’s Degree was completed at the University of North Carolina (UNC) School of Dentistry & UNC Memorial Hospital in Chapel Hill.
Dr. Elliott is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry as well as a Fellow with The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. He enjoys teaching both dental students as well as residents and was an Adjunct Clinical Professor at both the University of North Carolina and University of Louisville Schools of Dentistry. In addition, he served as the State Advisor for the North Carolina Dental Assistants Association for almost 10 years.
Dr. Elliott established his first practice in 1998 from the ground up immediately after completing his residency and developed his practice philosophy from the beginning. As important was building a TEAM that was a part of that philosophy: “We don’t want to be the biggest; we just want to be the BEST for our patients and their parents.” He was a solo practitioner for the first 10 years of his practice before building and moving into his current dream office with his rock star partner and 15 amazing TEAM members. Dr. Elliott has been in private practice for two decades in
Cary, NC.
Dr. Elliott lectures throughout the year to other dentists, specialists, dental team members and residents. He has written numerous articles for national dental publications and is a recognized authority on the development of creative and innovative office designs for pediatric dental practices where he is often called upon to consult with new office construction. “Helping Others Achieve” is one of Dr. Elliott’s cornerstone mantras. He can teach you how to successfully navigate the opening of a private practice and avoid the costly mistakes that are associated with this part of your career.
Dr. Elliott remains well connected with colleagues and holds memberships with the North Carolina Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Dental Association.

Dr. Slonkosky resides and practices in Minster, Ohio.
A graduate from the University of Louisville School Dentistry, it was during one of his initial pediatric dental rotations as a third year dental student that he met Dr. Elliott. Dr. Slonkosky completed his pediatric dental training and Master’s Degree from the University of Kentucky, and moved back to his hometown as the only pediatric specialist in a large rural general dental practice. The practice services a number of surrounding towns and counties, and currently employs six dentists and twenty-one team members. The practice is currently undergoing an expansion project to add dedicated orthodontic and pediatric clinical space to the existing building. As a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Slonkosky provides both pediatric and orthodontic treatment for children and teens, with clinical interest in CEREC CAD/CAM, mixed-dentition orthodontics, and advanced dental materials.
Dr. Slonkosky recognizes the changing dynamics
of the practice culture and emerging business models affecting the profession. In 2014 Dr. Slonkosky teamed up with Dr. Elliott and together they established Pediatric Dental Directions, LLC. The goal of Pediatric Dental Directions is to develop a consulting model and curriculum for doctors and their team members. In addition, there is critical focus to develop a thriving practice culture, capable of meeting the demands of change. Modern patient care is a TEAM dynamic, and if the practice is going to succeed, the doctor must have the vision to see that the entire TEAM participates in that success.
Dr. Elliott and Dr. Slonkosky lecture throughout the year to dentists, TEAM members, and residents. You can visit Dr. Slonkosky’s private practice web-site, Minster Pediatric Dentistry, at www.MinsterPediatricDentistry.com.
